Hey Guys How r all Ya??? M doing good…. But missing ma sweetheart :(… Each time amma or mayi prepares something the first thing wht comes to my mind is Wish Guru was here…. But no worries he will be here soon :)… after a week time I m freee today… so I thought il get my draft updated…. I kno my drafts keep crying to remove them out there :P…..



Hey all I m sorry if I neva visited ur site…. Sometimes I just went thru cudn drop a word… I guess u all understand…

I hope U all remember me…. Neva forgot me na???? I always think I shud have lozza followers I shud getta kno many ppl in blogging… nd all shud remember me… :P …. I kno all ya bloggers wish the same… I m sure it will be true :)….





Ok now to the recipe…

Biscuit Ambado is one of Amchis fav’s ….

I really donno y its called biscuit ambado… if ne one yak no lemme kno ok…

Its one of our family fav’s too.. I m not a big fan of it though… Ok I hurry up vth the recipe:

E need

Urad dal- 2 cups (soaked atleast for 5 hrs)

Green chillies – 3

Curry leaves – 10-12springs

Coconut thinly shredded or scraped – 4 tbsp

Salt to taste

Oil for deep frying

Method:

Grind Dal into a semi coarse paste …. Do not add water as iy will be flow…. We need the batter thick as it shud be dropd as balls.

For the batter add chopped green chillies,curry leaves, coriander leaves, and salt… and mix well…

Now drop in the batter(small tennis ball sized) into hot oil … Fry it on mediun flame until crisp…



This taste awesome with Coconut Chutney

For chutney we need

1 cup scraped coconut, green chillies 4 (cn more according to ur taste ) a slmall piece of tamarind(a peanut size), salt to taste

Grind all these items smoothly until fine…. Now serve this chutney with Hot Ambado….

We even Season the chuytney… but for Amados we prepare the chutney without tempering.

Ah! We never ate lozza bread during our childhood. It was always tht we ate bread only when we were not keeping well :P…but as we grew we started getting bread at home…Eggless- Harish Bakery bread (this one as it was one of the Amchi’s bakery nd one of our known ppl). As time pasd we started lovin the City Bakery Bread it was so soft nd moist….

Amma started making sandwiches (2-3 varities )…Anu doesn’t eat though(bcoz he never ate onions nor garlic). I loved the fried onion sandwich vch amma made….I remember the day we bought tht sandwich toaster….:P

We had been to Market in blore(10 yrs bac) tht….my aunt was just married nd new to tht place…she just took one jamun(jambul in konkani …the purple colour berry vch we get during april may) from the batti for taste so tht she cud buy the Bai (lady) there started shouting… Enamma hange tinnodu 50 ps kodi…. (how can u eat like tht now gimme 50 ps for one jamun) we were shocked actually as at tht time 50 ps for one jamun was so costly….:P…..guys u myt be wondering na from bread I went to market, jamun all those things….I m just like tht….:P I started the matter bcoz we bought tht toaster the same day….:P





I remember when once someone ( I don’t want to specify but I m sure if he reads this he will kno who m I spking about :P m sure after reading this he wud never take bread to someones house He he he :P) had visited our place and got 2 loafs of simple bread…As soon as he left all started telling is someone sick at our home tht he got bread…it was ok even if he never got ne thing…:P…..Nd thts bcoz we take bread to someone’s place or hospitals only if someone is sick isn’t it? ( I think m dragging this post too sick :P )…I donno each persons custom myt differ…..:P

Then on amma started making fried onion sandwiches which we just loved…it was so yum… I used to sit on my kitchen slab and relish them hot hot as she prepares.

Now to the bread story…….i ate bakery bread everytime….never tried home made bread but wanted to try it once….. when I started getting my hands on baking i decided of baking bread…. Nd tried my hand on wheat bread. It was in my drafts from more than 4 months :P

It got baked nd I nevr had a piece of it also bcoz I wanted my hubby to taste it first (as he is the guinea pig :P)

He ate the piece nd told Aps do u know ht u have baked???? I was worried then comes a answer its focaccia..Italian bread…..its so tasty….:P… …when I checked the pecipe it was similar…but they added cheese Parmesan nd mozzarella…vch I did not.

He he he I never knew the name though

Ne ways I stop my chatting patting here nd move on to my recipe



We need

Wheat flour – 2 cups

Finely powdered oats- ½ cup

Salt – 1 tsp

Milk – 4tbsp

Italian seasoning (basil,oregano,Rosemary,thyme) – 2tbsp

Garlic powder – 1 tsp

Water (luke warm) – 1 cup

Active Dry yeast – 1 tbsp

Black pepper – 1 tsp (crushed)

Butter/olive oil – 2 tbsp

Sugar – 1tsp

Seasme seeds - 1/2 tsp





Method:

Place yeast, sugar and milk in a bowl and mix to combine. set aside in a warm place for 5 minutes or until bubbles begin to form on surface.

Mix together the flour, salt, oil, water and yeast mixture, Garlic powder, Italian seasoning, pepper powder, in a bowl and mix until a smooth dough forms. knead on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic, adding a little extra flour to the dough if it becomes too sticky.

Roll it into a round shape and allow to rest for n hour or more.

Now knead the dough again nd mix well nd rest it for another hour. ( roll the dough into the shape u want to bake rectangular or round).

now apply seasme seeds on top.

Preheat oven at 350F

Now grease the baking tray nd place the bread on it and bake at 350 F for 20 minutes.

Remove from Oven and place on a wire rack.

Once cooled down cut slices.



I mixed it in a food processer as I dint want my hands to stick :P

Now a soft nd tasty bead is ready to Eat.

I m mad about cook books/blogs, crafts,embroidery,nd ne thing nd everything artistic.... thats y i started a cook blog...nd m sure i will upload some artistic things in my blog soon.....these days m a bit crazy about cam's also...nd m learning to take good clicks from my hubby...He is clicks awesome snaps( i m sure he can start some part time job :P).

10. Laughter is the best medicine....this line will always suit me bcoz i laugh for small things....nd in college we(nandu nd me) ver known as laughing gals.......nd m sure if there was ne laughter award there we wud surely grab it.....:P

A year of Love Filed under ( Anniversary, Awards, Cakes and Cookies, Festivals, MeMe )

Last year on August 22nd I changes from Ms. to Mrs……and was tied up with the World Best person……I must say he is my life......I remember each nd every moment we spend together today we cherished all the lovely moments….I had my best gift with me :P apart from tht Guru gave me something very very spl.







I was wondering wat shall I do for this day???? I asked my best buddy wht shall I do? I wanted to give him a Cannon Camera P10….but here I cudn go all alone (as it is not allowed) I was just like a fish without water :P…….I even asked Lubna wht cud I do?? She suggested me about a card nd a good décor…I had tht ready but I wanted something more apart from tht…. Then I decided to go for shopping vth guru and just skip once nd buy tht camers for him (Camera bcoz from past 5 months he is thinking of buying it but always told will buy later now I have a good Cam ne ways :P :P). As I thought I went for shopping and tried skipping but this guy was all the way with me then phew his colleague called him (thanks a lot to him) nd this guy was bz spking I ran to 3 4 shops but dint find tht model….:( now wht to do then I thought I will buy a gud watch…..I ran bac to Casio nd picked a watch for him and got it packd soon so tht by the time he is in the box is in y bag…but he saw a bit of the box he kept on asking whtz tht ….But m smart ain’t I? I told the sales guy to tell he just gave me a box nd he did so…



I will upload the snaps of the handmade flowers soon...



Now for the cake I had to get a cake ready….vth wht I had bcoz everything had to be a surprise….I prprd a Pineapple Cake with Strawberry butter icing…but when I was applying the Icing my Sweet hubby was about to enter so I hurried to apply tht so it hasn come tht even…..:( but it hds tasted heavenly………. Everything is ready but he is in the room how to push him out….yeppppppy Idea I told him tht his fav show was going on nd he went out I kept the cake ready all his gifts nd had to make the most funniest reason for him to come In( not to be revealed :P) nd now time to cut the cake together…He was so happy for everything I did for him…. Luking at all his gifts he was over whelmed….After all this I was hungry so had my dinner….then had a great snore zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz until next morning…..





A bright morning…as if the sun was Inviting us with Love……the day starts nd we r on with the morning show – LUCK…..Really was a good movie. After all this our stomcahe started calling for food …….(as it is Ramadan all the restu….were closed until evening we cud not go out for lunch) so we planned for dinner….. to Movenpick

. I cooked something really simple as I had to keep my tummy empty for the dinner (As I always tell we eat like birds….sometimes even Lunch fills our tummy…nd we have just salad at nyt: P). We had a wonderful evening and a ever memorable one. I will cherish each moment.



He he he after all my stories I will post the Cake recipe ( it was really soft nd Fluffy…as I was hurrying I cudn manage with the perfect icing though L)…. I saw Upside down cake of Divya’s Blog , but I made them with egg nd it was not exactly upside down cake as did not place pineapple slices.





Here is what we need:

All purpose flour – 2 cups

Eggs – 3 ( instead of baking powder nd baking soda)

Pineapple essence – 1 ½ tbsp

Water – 1 cup (divs used 3/4th cup of milk)

Butter – ½ cup

Powdered Sugar – 2 cup ( I replaced sugar instead of milkmaid)

For Icing I followed her butter cream icing

Softened butter – ½ cup

Icing sugar – 1 ½ cup

Strawberry essence - ! tbsp (divs used vanilla essence and cocoa powder)

Pink colour – 1/2tsp

Method:

Preheat oven for 375* F.

Cream butter until fluffy add eggs one by one and beat for 5 minutes on medium speed until fluffy.

Add powdered sugar and mix well.

Now add flour lil by lil and without forming lumps, add pineapple essence, water and beat for 5 minutes until creamy and fluffy.

Grease a round baking tin and pour the batter into the tin and bake for 35 – 40 min or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Cool the cake for a while nd place it on a wire rack.

Now prepare for the icing:

Cream together butter and icing sugar until soft and creamy.

Add strawberry icing and pink food colour. And beat well.

Spread on the cake and and cool in refrigerator for some while.

I would buy sumthin lovely for my hubby .

I cud not stand social science subject in school.....myt be not bcoz the subject is boring but may be bcoz i dint like ne teacher who taught this subject everybody was Nuts....especially my 8th nd 9th std teachers.... I hope they read it...bcoz i want them to kno tht they have to improve atleast now (myt be they r retired donno :P)

Depends if it is morning or evening.

I cry a lotz…….ne one can fill their buckets with tht :P.....i speak to my sweet hubby…..nd I m alrit

Aparna is Goddess Parvati’s name (she got this name when she was meditating and fasting without even eating a Leaf to get lord shiva as her husband). I dint meditate though :P

Every time I eat something delicious I feel this is my favorite sweet…he he he…it all depends on my mood…but I can have chocolates ne time…..I know the taste of almost every chocolate…nd sometimes I m known as chocolate gal in college as I had atleast one chocolate in my bag :P.
