Glad you guys liked the artichoke sandwich idea! Josh really enjoyed it and it is a fun alternative to a meaty sammy or a regular grilled cheese.
Thank you all for your ideas on what you would do if you had extra money this holiday season. I got a little performance bonus (nothing majorly huge but still a nice, fun surprise) from work and have been debating what to do with the money. I decided I wanted to spend it on treats for both ourselves and some of the special people (friends/family) around us. Based on all of your fabulous suggestions (and my list of wants/needs), I have decided to split it up as follows (I think ;)):
- Donation to local Charleston Animal Shelter (along with a bundle of our old towels)
- A few new fun kitchen things (mini muffin tin, baking sheet, Rachel Ray Casseroval)
- A new pair of jeans (my jeans are SOOOO old and (no complaining on this one) somewhat big)
- An edger for the lawn(Josh has really been wanting one)
- A Starbucks gift card, so Josh and I can treat ourselves throughout the month
- A ticket into the Charleston Festival of Lights + A Christmas Tree
- Baking supplies (so I can make up some delicious treats for friends, family & neighbors)
How was your Thursday? Mine went well. Had the usual work followed by a few errands. I came home and prepped up a small bowl of peanut noodles and broccoli for Josh to eat before his basketball game.
I also made roasted veggies. Brussels, broccoli and cauliflower:Topped with tomato and spices:
