Reese’s Peanut Butter Chip Cookies & Giveaway

I am not a HUGE chocolate person, but I love Reese’s peanut butter cups. There is something about the combination of chocolate and peanut butter that is just amazing- don’t you agree? One of our friends recently purchased a house and I wanted to make him a batch of housewarming cookies. I decided this would be the perfect time to try out Reese’s peanut butter chips that I’ve seen floating around blog world:

I used both peanut butter chips and chocolate chunks and mixed them into a batch of peanut butter cookie dough. I used this recipe as my base, but since I was using natural, no sugar added peanut butter, I added an additional 2 tablespoons of sugar to the dough:

mmmm! I hope he enjoys them!

Reese’s Brand and Warner Bros. are currently running an awesome contest:

“In conjunction with the highly anticipated Green Lantern movie, fans can pick up specially marked packages of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for a chance to instantly win a ride for two in a fighter-style jet, just like Green Lantern Hal Jordan. For more information on the Reese’s “Jet-Fighter Experience” promotion, visit www.reeses.com/greenlantern.”
